The Retail & Consumer Products industry group of a leading Management Consulting firm was looking to expand their practice with a Senior Manager level hire, adding to an already strong & talented team. The position required an individual with deep expertise in Retail and / or Consumer Products with functional expertise in Commercial Strategy & Operations and an extensive background in consulting.
Solution:
Having mapped out the Retail & Consumer market, a select number of individuals from competitor consulting firms were approached, utilising our extensive network in the sector. After multiple conversations, we were able to shortlist a handful of strong candidates and one particular talent stood out. This individual had progressed well over the last six years with a Big 4 advisory firm, building on her prior experience in industry, and specialised exclusively in Retail & Consumer Products throughout her career with expertise in Strategy, Operations, eCommerce, Branding and Programme Leadership. Throughout the interview process, this candidate continuously impressed at each stage and the client was able to make a quick decision to offer her a role.
Results:
Having built up a relationship of trust throughout the process, we were able to speak candidly with the candidate to make sure her expectations aligned with the company’s assessment of her level.
