Deloitte has announced the appointment of Suresh Kanwar as its new Managing Partner for UK Financial Services. His new role was effective from 1 March 2025 and Kanwar also joins Deloitte UK’s Executive team.
Kanwar has over 25 years of experience advising and delivering for the largest European and global financial services institutions. Prior to his appointment to the new role, Kanwar was the leader of Deloitte UK’s Banking and Capital Markets team. He specialises in delivering large scale business and technological change for financial services clients across the globe.
Kanwar started his career at Andersen Consulting (now Accenture) in 1998. He was a Managing Director in Accenture’s Capital Markets business before joining Deloitte as a partner in 2016.
Deloitte’s financial services practice works with clients across the banking, insurance, investment management and real estate sectors. It is the firm’s largest industry group and generated £1.6 billion in revenue last year*.
Kanwar succeeds Richard Hammell, who will become Clients and Markets leader after five years as Managing Partner for Financial Services.
