PA Consulting (PA), the global innovation and transformation consultancy, has appointed Alan McIntyre as an Executive Advisor within its Aviation team. Alan will work with PA’s aviation experts to support airlines and airports in improving their strategic, commercial, and operational performance. In particular this will involve leveraging insights from low-cost airlines in areas such as ancillary revenue, marketing, digital, and network to drive value across the aviation sector.
Alan is an experienced leader with over 30 years of experience in the aviation sector. Most recently, he was at Qantas Group as Jetstar Airways’ Chief Customer & Commercial Officer, where his accountabilities entailed customer strategy, enabling digital to enhance the customer journey, including app development; sales, marketing and revenue management; overseeing the successful Qantas/Jetstar dual brand strategy; and setting the fleet plan.
Alan previously served as the director of product & proposition of easyJet, leading on the re-launch of easyJet Holidays, and overseeing product development, inflight revenue, and ancillary revenue. His role prior to this was head of network and scheduling where he oversaw the airline's significant expansion at Gatwick and new bases including Manchester.
He has also worked for GB Airways, Singapore Airlines, and at British Airways where he started his career on its graduate programme.
