As consultancy firms all across the street cut their headcount, Partners in Performance has moved to bolster the top ranks of its financial services practice.

Street Talk understands the management consultancy firm has brought Mark Potter on board as a partner to lead its financial services offering, alongside Tim Morse.

Potter comes across from the Commonwealth Bank where he's been for 16 years, working for the last four years as it’s executive general manager of technology and operations for its institutional and business banking division.

Prior to CBA, Potter served a nine year stint at at rival consulting firm Kearney, helping lead its technology and transformation practices, with a focus on banking and insurance in Australia, Europe and the US.

Partners in Performance local head Michael Huggins told Street Talk the firm had grown its headcount by 20 per cent per annum in the last decade.

"The business now employs more than 500 consultants and supports staff globally - with operations from North and South America, Europe, Russia, the Middle East, Africa and south-east Asia.”
